Dani Dyer seen for first time after announcing surgery for 'missing coil’

Former Love Island er Dani Dyer has been seen for the first time she revealed to fans that she would be undergoing surgery to recover a “missing contraceptive coil” on Thursday. The 27 year old star, appeared happy and unfazed by her recent health revelations as she was spotted out and about with her young children, twins Summer and Star just hours after sharing her health update with her followers on social media platform Instagram.

Dani’s appearance came just hours after she revealed to her fans that she had discovered her contraceptive coil had "disappeared" inside her body during a recent health consultation, before joking that she could have ended up with a fourth child. The Love Island star, who is also the child of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, explained the 'rare' incident to her fans online, explaining that she needs to undergo surgery to remove the contraceptive device in the coming weeks.

Sharing the news with her 3.8 million Instagram followers, Dani said: "So long story cut short because I do like to ramble. I had to have a couple of appointments today for a nurse to check my Mirena coil. I've not really been getting on with it and I thought let's just go and get it checked and see what's going on.”

The coil is a method of contraception used by thousands of women a year as a long-acting reversible contraceptive method that typically works for between 5 and 10 years. It is also sometimes used to help combat heavy periods and to protect the womb during menopause.
