Andrew spent six months in hospital

A businessman who's heart stopped for 17 minutes while battling a severe Covid infection has thanked the NHS staff who brought him back to life.

During the traumatic ordeal, Andrew's mind was firmly focussed on fighting as hard as he could so that he could stay with his family and continue to be a loving husband and father. He told Stand Up For Southport if it wasn't for the incredible nurses and doctors who helped him, he may not have made it.

The event will take place on January 21, 2023, as a personal thank you from Andrew, dedicated to “all the wonderful NHS staff and in memory of all the people who lost their lives or who have been affected by Covid”.
