A dad who died alongside a toddler girl in a horror car crash after colliding with another car and a tree has been named locally.
David Beckett has now been named locally following the tragic crash, the ECHO reports. Floral tributes were left at the scene of the crash to the victims.One read: "Our love & thoughts are with you all at this sad time, sleep tight." Another tribute said: "I’m deeply sorry for the loss of such a beautiful husband and daddy. You’re always in our thoughts, deeply missed forever" while a third said: "Beckett. No words, RIP friend.
"We would ask that you refrain from speculation online and would like to thank the members of the local community for their patience and understanding whilst our officers carried out their investigations today. We are now appealing to you, the public, to ask that if you witnessed this collision, or have any dashcam or CCTV footage from Hesketh Lane or the surrounding areas between 8:00am and 8:30am this morning to please get in contact.
