Customers queued for 14 hours to get their hands on chicken treats at the Popeyes launch in Northampton. The much-anticipated drive-thru restaurant opened on Walter Tull Way yesterday .
Additionally, the first 25 vehicles through the drive-thru and the first 25 pedestrians were rewarded with a free Chicken Sandwich and exclusive drive-thru merch. Jon and Hayley Breese were the first in the drive-thru lane, having also queued since Sunday evening to win Free Chicken Sandwiches for a year. They added: "We’ve never tried Popeyes before but had heard so many people talking about the hype so wanted to be first in the queue to try Popeyes chicken.”
