A Belfast woman who was sexually abused as a child has told this year’s Reclaim the Night rally that the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland is “failing victims”.
“I am campaigning for change but that takes time. We all have a part to play in seeing justice served. Justice for me means confidently standing up for yourself and for each other. “It is my aim to see as many people who have been wronged feeling powerful. You’re not defined by what was done to you.”Alexa Moore, a a trans rights activist and former director or TransgenderNI, said they are “determined” to stamp out sexual violence and harassment.
“We need a city that prioritises social housing, we need to get people off these freezing cold streets. We need safe injection zones. We need the decriminalisation of drug use and we need to remove the power held by coercive paramilitary organisations profiting from the war on drugs.
They forgot the speech on the violence of abortion, all assaults on the body of another should be opposed, can’t pick and choose.
