Grandparents helping to look after their grandchildren over the summer holidays could get a significant boost to their pension credit.
According to figures from the Department for Work and Pensions , more than 12 million people in the UK claim state pension. However, only around 150,000 applications have been made for SACCs in the past eight years, according to data from HM Revenue and Customs .
