CPS should not have powers to do this ever again. Innocent people being judged by them. It happens all the time and ruins lives

CPS has blood on their hands

It's very sad what happened but if it was a man who had committed such abuse they would have done the same. You cannot stop prosecuting someone because they may commit suicide. It doesn't work like that.

What do people want… not to prosecute ‘alleged’ domestic violence.

So having a trial is in the public interest. If he is not supporting the allegation what right have the CPS to interfere. All couples have problems now and then it does not need the police to interfere. It is typical of if they can't get a politician they go for a celebrity

i can't get the pictures out of my head of all that blood on the sheets. just what was going to come out in court.

No they aren’t you utter cretins

Having been part of a team investigating domestic related murders which both had previous histories of DV with non supportive parties, the CPS are right to take this line...& I’m often no fan of the CPS.

I always thought we prosecuted people for breaking the law now it seems we do it for the public interest CPS

Just because an allegation is withdrawn, it doesn’t suddenly mean the suspect is innocent and there is no risk of anything like this happening again. Just imagine if it had been the boyfriend who had taken his life; then people would be saying the CPS should have done more

cpsuk is covering its arse. The Public investigation into this disaster is only just beginning. . . .

If she were innocent, it would have come out at trial. It’s the media that made a mess of this,

CPS really need to rethink ....

So many WOKE Journo's about with their Mock virtue signalling for clickbait today, shocking! - Maybe the Media should be reminded that 'Innocent until proven Guilty' is a fundamental pillar of our Culture, despite the opportunity to Make Money from clickbait

CPS can pursue a domestic violence charge even if victim says no - here's whyA rep for the late Caroline Flack has criticised the CPS' decision to pursue the high-profile case against the former Love Island star. Caroline was due to appear in court on March 4 after being charged with assault. They should be able to. This isnt new and been around for a while now I don’t think that should change, because we know of how many people are in very bad relationships and would never press charges. Of course they should be able to pursue a case, even if the alleged victim says no because those who suffer from domestic abuse are controlled & coerced and will often deny the abuse because of this.
