Scotland's vaccine passport benefits 'outweigh concerns'

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the move was needed to help stem the recent surge in the number of cases.

Concerns have been raised by nightclub owners about the fairness of passports being brought in for some venues and not others, while the SPFL said it hadIn July, Mr Yousaf highlighted concerns that the passports "might increase the inequality gap, and there would be ethical issues". He said that limiting the scheme to very specific events and venues was "a demonstration of the fact that we still have concerns".

He said: "There is zero consistency there. If you look at live music venues - standing capacity up to 500 - no vaccine passport - nightclub 250-300 capacity - vaccine passport. Where is the logic behind that?" "We believe this is unnecessary. It's not been demonstrated to us how this is a tool of infection control - this feels more like state control."The Scottish government is keen for more people in the younger age group to get vaccinated

Mr Yousaf added: "Ultimately, we are bringing this forward because we don't want to reimpose restrictions but that is always an option we have to consider, particularly if we see the rise in cases we saw last week."

My views on the vaccine passport:

Sturgeon caved to the elites just like the rest of the weak prime ministers.

Your choice to get jabbed. You've protected yourself. Your realise it doesn't stop transmission, in fact the report is jabbed or not transmission difference is minimal. So what's a piece of paper gonna do? Nothing.

What's the benefits....? But u can't answer..it stops transmission

No they don't. Only to authoritarian arsehalfs they do.

'passports are preferable to another lockdown'! Blackmail through threats? More criminal action by Govt ministers! Plus, the MSM are oblivious or complacent to their complicit facilitation!! 🤔👤👤👮
