Coronavirus deaths fall for 17th week in a row – as heatwave and flu prove more deadly

CORONAVIRUS deaths in the UK have fallen for the 17th week in a row as flu and the recent heatwave proved to be more deadly for Brits.

There were 139 deaths registered in the week ending August 14 that mentioned "novel coronavirus", an 8.6 per cent fall from the 152 deaths in the previous week. This is the lowest count since before the nation went into lockdown in March. In week 32 influenza and pneumonia were mentioned 1,013 times on death certificates and in week 33 this figure was 1,002.Over the last several weeks, deaths from flu and influenza have been between 900 and 1,000 a week, but dropped to 879 in week 29.

This equates to 976 deaths and the data showed that Covid did not feature in the top ten leading causes of death in Wales. The ONS added: "The increased number of deaths, and the rise above the five-year average, were likely due to the heatwave; the coronavirus did not drive the increase, as deaths involving Covid-19 continued to decrease in week 33.

Coronavirus: Risk of flu or road accident higher than COVID-19 for schoolchildren, says deputy CMODr Jenny Harries says a well-controlled school environment with the knowledge there now is about COVID-19 'should be a safe one'. This is also true for the working age public... does that mean we can fully reopen the economy? Chicken Pox, tummy bugs or seasonal flu in schools- spread extremely quickly. All adults (teachers, cleaners, dinner folk, assistants, clerical staff etc) are also at risk. Isn't Covid 19 the same? Tell the truth! Children will probably recover quickly but the adults may not! Stop with the relentless propaganda!

Coronavirus live news: Hong Kong man's second Covid-19 infection gives rise to immunity concernsMan cleared of virus in April but has now tested positive again; France to impose reciprocal quarantine on travellers returning from UK Not really 'concern' though, is it? A number of those who know a lot more about this kind stuff than you and me have said this is actually good news; showing a textbook example of the human immune system working as it should. Read the attached thread. Oh God here we go. Two kids and 17 teachers in one British school have it. Not looking good. 'He was found to have contracted a DIFFERENT coronavirus strain from the one he had previously contracted and remained asymptomatic for the second infection' Nice attempt at creating fear and panic with the headline The media cannot be trusted with 'facts'
