Coronavirus could cause 35,000 extra cancer deaths, experts warn

"I'm hoping that we will get back to where we need to be by the end of the year."

"There is a significant cohort of people who are very worried about coming anywhere near the NHS, because coming near the NHS means 'I'm going to get Covid, and therefore I'm going to get very, very ill,'" said NHS GP Dr Gary Marlowe.

Not forgetting strokes and organ failures.

The unseen 2nd virus, sadly is already happening ♥️

No the response to coronavirus could cause 35,000 extra deaths, nothing else

Is your warning not a bit late

does corona virus cause AIDs? this oped from an anonymous expert claims to think so...

This govt should be charged with crimes against humanity. This SCAM is OVER!!!

Doubt it

I do hope this turns out to be an exaggeration I really do.

Could you change the headline. It is the lengthy lockdown that will cause the deaths, not the virus.

This is a real issue we are lucky that my partner is still receiving chemo at the moment x thank you NHS

No, not coronavirus - the UK Government is causing 1,000s of extra deaths by turning the NHS into a covid-only service

Government cleansing at its best...

Could

🆘 The Prime Minister should be prioritising this major disaster looming. Not everyone can afford Private Medical Insurance. Don’t put the NHS under continued stress, for years to come because you haven’t prioritised the backlog of treatment and operations now. 🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘

Don't worry, we can light a candle and clap, that helps apparently.

What an utterly stupid headline. Is this your best now?

In Germany, 'an internal report of the Federal Ministry of the Interior has determined that, because of the lockdown, 90% of all necessary operations were not carried out, which affected 2.5 million people.

Bull 💩

Covid also causes more deaths by suicide,....and more heart attacks, more everything because now people have stopped going to doctors and hospitals due to Covid..

I thought cancer causes cancer deaths and then I read the article only to find out that cancer still causes cancer death. My point is: many people will read a headline and make an assumption without reading (I’ve done it). This is a hyperbolic, misleading headline for clicks. IMO

Ohh... This virus could cause so many extra cancer deaths. Well we know the treatment of cancer are very expensive for the health insurance, now I think I know why some US laboratories were developed the Covid-19...

Chynah

The other consequences of this virus. People not getting the surgeries they need to have their lives saved. It is devastating. I lost a loved one recently because of a postponed surgery.I would like to see research after this regarding all of the other casualties related to Covid

Hmmm.....
