It'll be a cautious Big Bang then ? 🤔 Glad he's cleared that up!

It's crazy to me that the locals schools where I live go to the trouble of keeping children in bubbles while at school, but when they leave they all mix in the local playpark along with the parents. Zero social distancing, this has been the case for the entire 'lockdown'. 🤷‍♂️

Trying to stir up a “it’s not the schools, it’s the meeting at the school gates” narrative again by any chance? Is that why you aren’t allowing testing of primary aged children too? Nasty.

'Boris Johnson has said the country is starting to move towards a sense of 'normality' as schools in England get ready to open to more pupils on Monday and that hiding under desks is NOT unreasonable and will be the new 'norm'.

This is going to be a disaster, why can’t they keep doing home schooling until it’s properly safe

Can we stop having UNELECTED 'experts' constantly giving their opinions to the media and Changing ELECTED government policy IT is getting Boring - they have had their 5 minutes of fame

Way too, soon?

Caution! It's going to be yet another Tory clusterfuck

How come one kid testing positive means 100 kids have to stay at home when one professional footballer testing positive means just that one footballer has to stay at home?

I can’t think of anything worse in this picture ,there’ a ginger with a mask 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤫🤫

I suppose it'll be like last time, with about 20% of kids stuck at home every day because someone in the bubble tests positive, none of which will reach the BBC national news.

Did he mean, 'mortality?' Home school if you can and stay safe!

Bit fucking late for caution

BBCPolitics To describe this as a first step towards normal is not true. It marks a new set of unpleasant and unjustified measures against children in schools. Every step forward becomes two steps back. The virus is firmly in retreat, but the government's control freakery is on the march.

People are getting fed up and have thrown caution out the window less mask wearing in supermarkets and buses🙄. Only hope will prevail as we tread into this unknown path👍🏿

Give it a couple of wks, numbers will be up again.

Pray?

Kids need go back, your failing a generation

Caution about what? Poisoning kids by making them re-inhale their CO2 or using them as test subjects to increase the 'cases' narrative via lateral flow and Op Moonshot timeline Tony Blair's pocket.

'Caution'. He makes it sound like we haven't been in some form of lockdown for almost 12 months. We could hardly be any more cautious!

State sponsored child abuse.

Thank God schools are open they should never of closed in the first place , everyone under 25 can't get covid or die from covid its just like a cold to them

BBCPolitics Mmm.

Massively orchestrated overeach to facilitate increasing social controls. Nothing more...

BBCPolitics

A decade of austerity brexit covid / all tory failures means most of us have lost much

12 staff members of staff have had Covid, some children aswell. I'm 46, a teacher and child in our class both have had it and no vaccine for me yet. 33 children back on Monday.

Turns out hmrc staff have been awarded a 13% payrise. I shit you not. Kept that one quiet didn't they.

Yes it’s a risk, but we can’t keep destroying kids lives because of a virus that is never going away. The venerable are protected & we need to learn to live with this. What would teachers have us do? Keep them at home forever!?

Schools opening now shows that heard immunity is still on the gov agenda. Kids wearing masks=not really safe, but if they are exposed to virus (only get mild infection) will build up immunity. Most children will be fine! Teachers however are clearly not important and expendable!

Get em whilst they’re young, eh... 🙄

'Wider open, open face-to-face, open to all or just welcome children back'. Get it right BBC! Pretend it's the pronunciation of a foreign diplomat. Staff risked their lives and worked their socks off keeping schools open for key worker/vulnerable children while teaching online

BBCPolitics Yep here we go, it’s like putting a yellow sign out for a wet floor! Doesn’t stop the accident or his responsibility but makes him feel he’s done his job! it’ll be Stamer wanted kids back, everyone else said follow the science and final decision from Sky Harry & Meghan’s fault!

STATE SCHOOL KIDS IN A STATE! A 10-year-old boy with Autism, is trying to make a difference like his hero, Sir Capt. Tom and Marcus Rashford, for kids by writing a ‘personal plea’ to the Prime Minister on behalf of every state school kid in Britain who feels alienated.

BBCPolitics Marr show, biased as usual. Two English based papers with apparent polls showing decrease in those favouring independence. Not a peep about the surge in SNP membership since Nicola spoke at enquiry. Total Bias Shame to call yourself Scottish

“Research suggests a false positive result between 1 and 3 times for every 1,000 tests carried out.” “Professor Sheila Bird, a member of the Royal Statistical Society, said it was 'very likely' a lateral flow test could give a false positive reading.” Is 3 in 1000 very likely?

Careful? Has he every been to a primary school? The myth of risk assessments and covid security in schools is palpable drivel.

Roads packed tomoz with all their vehicles blocking streets

BBCPolitics Thank you Andrew for saying 'pupils' and not 'students'.

Irrelevant for those who are childless and alone. Still waiting for when the roadmap plans get to the stage that is of relevance and any help for those living alone with no bubble.

More false positives incoming this week! How on earth are MSM not questioning the testing regime which is enforcing lockdowns! Its an absolute scandal what’s happening in the Uk!

Is there a reason why you have not put up the front page of the Observer today on your newspaper headlines? Could you give the reason please or I will think it’s because you’ve been advised to only put the headlines of papers where there is no criticism of this government ?

Teacher waiting to book my vaccine only to find that group 8 has suddenly changed from 55 & over to 56 & over. I’m 55 anyone got an explanation? I started in group 6 (asthma), got bumped to group 8 (age 55) and now appear to be in group 9. JVCI and GP say I am in group 8!!!!

No vaccine for teachers and staff and 20% of pupils have idiot antivax parents with Internet medical degrees. Get ready for lockdown 4

Just get back to normal now. NoMasksInClass

Let's make our kids feel more shit about themselves!!!! By hearing and seeing headlines that kids are spreaders no wonders the kids currently feel alienated. One minute everyone wants them back, then the next they don't. This is not good for them.

BBCPolitics Caution Kids

He urged caution the last time when schools reopened....

BBCWorld BBCHindi BBCBreaking BBC

Caution? 5 more weeks until the next incremental release of restrictions? Then another 5 weeks before the next incremental release of restrictions? That’s insane.

Oh really, the schools are re-opening....I had’nt heard....🙄

Absolutely will not be cautious! With due respect we should now think about children, let them live and be free! Oh but they can’t cause we re muzzling them all day and testing them twice a week with a very unpleasant experiment that doesn’t work!!

Still think we’re safe?

Really caution would be to listen to the science, have a phased return with reduced capacity with schools having been properly covid prepared not the fake PR spin we are seeing in tabloids. Nothing has changed since January. I don’t appreciate being an experiment or canon fodder

The 'pandemic' is obviously over as it has been deemed safe to fully reopen the schools. If there is still anything to be cautious about why are we sending schoolchildren back? ToryIncompetence

That’s a bit fresh from the man who was at Twickenhmam this time last year, despite health experts’ advice hypocrite

12 teachers and cater have tested positive in our school since January and 4 since last week! .... does the govt not think we will face another bubble exploding?

Does he we no r wont go up much

PM urges caution. Wow. Stop voting for sociopaths.

and yet he wants to hold the European footy in the UK Get real

Arsonist tells flames to stop burning.

Community transmission is still extremely high. This will result in a third wave.

Negative test: still wears a mask. 🤡🌍

Ooh be careful when you go back to school

Here we go. Starting already with the negativity before the kids are even back at school. Experts be on tomorrow saying no distancing at school gates etc

From the mouth of babes!

Bit like telling us to jump off a very high cliff but be careful on the way down

'Urges caution'.....ffs.

Omds here we go he will blame the rise in cases on the public again

Covid: Boris Johnson really awful, says Mark DrakefordFirst Minister of Wales described Prime Minister Boris Johnson as 'really, really awful', following an emergency government meeting last year, documentary reveals Boris Johnson is NOTHING but Trump/UK I'd deem that as a generous tribute considering how he handled things. Where's the lie? I must say, I'm liking Mark Drakeford more and more as time goes on. Can we swap Johnson for Drakeford? Would be nice to have a a capable leader in charge of the UK rather than the cabal of clowns we currently live under.
