Increase in number seeking to change date of second Covid jab

The number of people seeking to change their second Covid-19 vaccination appointment has increased significantly.Second appointments are usually generated automatically when a person books their first.

The woman in charge of NI's vaccination roll-out has warned mass changes could "jeopardise" the programme. The number of people seeking to rearrange their appointment has increased at the same time as restrictions have started to ease. The automatic generation of second dates for vaccinations is in place so that the system can manage staffing, vaccine supply and available appointment slots.

Patricia Donnelly heads up the vaccine programme and is appealing to people to keep their allocated appointment. "Any large scale changes could potentially jeopardise the overall roll-out of the programme," she said.

They are doing a lot of surge testing so they will find many more cases in the affected areas.

Probably because a lot of us were forced to book it twelve weeks in advance and can't just take time out from work for it easily

I had to because I was sick and on antibiotics..

Why; if no booking slot you can't book it period. We are over 65; just had second jab. still awaiting NHS to contact. We got shoved back when some care workers complained (Most seem to refuse it) so they took priority. far too many priorities TBH. But if not had 2nd jab; 21th LOL
