Thirty-one Met Police officers who broke coronavirus rules to get haircuts are facing £200 fines.
Two officers who hired a barber to give the cuts to staff at Bethnal Green Police Station, on 17 January, are also facing misconduct investigations, the Met Police said.Det Ch Supt Marcus Barnett said he was "deeply disappointed" in the officers. "Although officers donated money to charity as part of the haircut, this does not excuse them from what was a very poor decision. I expect a lot more of them.
"Quite rightly, the public expect police to be role models in following the regulations, which are designed to prevent the spread of this deadly virus."All those officers were issued with a £200 fixed penalty notice.
ONE RULE FOR THEM! ONE RULE FOR US! Wonder if they were thrown to the floor, sat on and handcuffed?
One rule for one and one for another. Front line or not we all have to follow the rules
Sack. Sack immediately. After they have been going around telling everyone they should follow the rules? Sack the lot of them.
⬇️...
we do not expect them to be role models you twats we expect them to follow the law to a T as they bloody should. end of...
H&S In crazy Britain means they need short hair so their helmet fits.....move on and leave them alone 😂
Good, lock them up and they should be named and publicly shamed then have to walk through a covid ward without any PPE..........did I miss anything that the covid communist on here usually put when a party is broken up by the same people? WeDemandFreedom
Have a look at premierleague footballers then!! So many of them must live with hairdressers!! weneedourhairdonewereontv evenplayingfield
But premiere league footballers is ok and they can flaunt their haircuts on live tv and nobody says anything!
In this article Det Ch Supt Marcus Barnett said he was 'deeply disappointed' in the officers. Is his name really Barnett talking about haircuts 😂😂😂
I think just a warning would have been fine (no pun intended). Then try and organise something official for them all. Breaking Lockdown Rules is bad, but we also need to find solutions to things to maintain some sense of normality when we can.
If a police officer breaks the law, do they still keep employment
First fines for Breakfasts in a Cafe, now Haircuts, what’s next, Pub Crawls
BBC please report proper news.
Imagine this headline a year ago....wtf!
Wooden tops
Yet again the MET setting a shit example and getting all others coppers a bad name👨✈️ you can always rely on them to ondo any good work done by other forces.
Here just for the puns
