"But the safety of the city and the public simply has to come first and we have now reached a point where we all need to take additional steps to contain the spread of this terrible virus within our communities."
Care to explain how you estimated that 1 in 500 people in England and 1 in 300 in Wales have got Coronavirus. Then focus on Leeds - one of the worst hit areas and state that the rate is up to 98 in 100,000. If you wanna scare then at least get the maths right.

Looking back at previous years, about 1000+ dying of respiratory diseases per week from September, with numbers gradually ticking up over the winter. If we tracked other respiratory diseases in real time perhaps that may calm the panickers down? PS positive tests are not cases

We have these restrictions here across all of Northern Ireland. I doubt it will make a difference though. The people being careful will continue as they already were and the ones flouting the restrictions will continue to do so without fear of repercussions
Utterly pointless. Given the incubation period, if everyone complied with the main lockdown in March, we'd have sent the virus packing. They didn't comply then. They won't now. Pointless.

Nonsense. This talk of “cases” is total scaremongering lies. A case is when someone with symptoms presents, and then is tested positive. Almost all of these tests are fake positives of asymptomatic people. A positive test is not a case.
What about casual sex or dogging?
