Business owners describe 'bleak' outlook as West Yorkshire prepares for tier 3 Covid restrictions

Nomadic Beers has been supplying cask beers to pubs in Leeds and beyond for the past three years, but lost all trade overnight when the pubs closed in March.

"They feel like an unsafe environment, but we're jumping through hoops to make ours safe and we're being forced to close."An additional tier three rule for West Yorkshire is the banning of shared smoking equipment in hospitality venues, which is a concern for Share One shisha lounge in Huddersfield.

Amber Cooke-Thomas, who runs the play centre, said: "We'd just got up and running, the public had just got confident in coming and obviously we're back to square one where we were in March. I dont know whats worse. Thinking that covid is the deadliest thing on earth and the hysteria that is going on or the increasing number of people dying from other causes and the economic armageddon coming to hard working people...🤔🤔

Such awful times. Thinking of those struggling

Non compliance

I have to wonder, what if the world and it’s respective governments did nothing. No measures, no lock downs, no advice, no financial support, no communication... what if? Would more ppl die? Would more businesses fail? Would ppl take responsibility for themselves? Justasking

Air travel amid COVID-19 pandemic is 'as safe' as grocery shoppingA Harvard review of research on COVID-19 cases linked to flights and how infectious disease might spread on board ruled that the risk of catching COVID-19 on a plane is very low. Ha ha like fuck it is. Masks off as soon as food and drink comes, most half off anyway. What a joke!! 'The report, funded by Airlines for America - a trade group representing American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and others - and a consortium of aircraft and equipment manufacturers and airport operators' Difference being of course, if not comfortable with others around you in a store, you can leave. On a plane, simply stuck till the flight ends.
