Council 'to sell off half' of Central Retail Park as government eyes offices

The 10-and-a-half acre site, on Great Ancoats Street, has been left derelict since the last shops closed in 2019. In February the council announced its hope to transform the plot, which it purchased for £37 million, into an office complex featuring parkland.
