Cheap standard supermarket (Morrison’s) gluten free pasta 60p-70p last year…. Today 85p (500g) more expensive supermarkets £2.00 -£3.00 likewise gluten-free bread, big jump. think about those people whose dietary requirements preclude them shopping to budget price points.
Price difference compared to last month even. Tinned beans (chick peas, kidney beans etc) were 55p a can and are now 60p a can.
Start taxing the rich for government needs, instead of printing money for their markets, so their stocks go up even during an economic depression (and then printing some for the government). That will tame inflation. Also make interest rates equal REAL inflation - 15% to 20%
Here in NZ cauliflowers are $11 or near 6 quid… there is much wrong with the world when people can float around in obscene luxury or waste time building Lego racing cars.
My meal deal went up by 20p and I’m not still happy for paying for carrier bags.
