Cosmic rays formed strange sand dunes on Saturn's largest moon, study finds

Experts previously thought the sand dunes on Titan formed from rainfall. New evidence suggests they came from cosmic rays hitting ice on the surface. This could explain other planets without an atmosphere have similar dunes.
