Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who is known for portraying Nicky Wheatley on Coronation Street, has shared that she heartbreakingly said goodbye to her auntie, Patricia Walker, this week for a final time as she attended her funeral service.
Spending time back on the Coronation Street set this week, Kimberly is reprising her role for an upcoming storyline surrounding Lauren Bolton's disappearance. She first portrayed Nicky back in 2020, and was seen on and off on the show until 2022. In the upcoming episodes, Kimberly will return as Nicky when Daniel embarks on a mission to find his old friend, hoping to uncover who really attacked or killed Lauren, as both he and Roy Cropper are suspects.
Now working as an outreach worker in the community, Nicky might hold the key to finding out more about what happened to Lauren, as Daniel hopes she can gather information from the girls she supports on the streets.
