A mystery appearance in Weatherfield rocks an ill Roy Cropper while Maria Windass is stunned as she gets an update on her son's bully Mason Radcliffe next week in Coronation Street.
As they arrive at the Chariot Square Hotel for the new recruits session, Leanne is delighted to see Amy Barlow amongst the attendees. Later, when Shona admits she was never ill, and it was a ploy to entice him back into the cafe, Roy sends her and Evelyn Plummer packing. Moments later outside, Shona is telling Nina Lucas what happened when an ambulance rounds the corner and they rush to the cafe where Roy being given CPR.
Meanwhile, Maria is stunned to get a letter saying Mason is due to be released from prison. She heads to the police station to ask some questions, unaware that her husband Gary is there with Sarah.
