Corrie spoilers next week - arrest, 'killer' blackmailed and update on resident

Joel Deering is facing a bit of trouble in Coronation Street next week as the residents of Weatherfield still remain none the wiser that he is behind Lauren Bolton's disappearance - and suspected murder.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Adetib's mate reckons Joel's a creep and she should steer well clear and Sabrina realises she's been naïve. But later, while Dee-Dee gets ready for their engagement lunch, Joel furtively takes a call from Sabrina’s mate, telling him he has to meet her or he’ll regret it. What do they want?

She takes Carys to the shoe shop to get her feet measured but the shoes are £45, leaving Gemma is gutted. Making a spare-of-the-moment decision, while the assistant is distracted, Gemma grabs Carys' hand and they flee the shop without paying. Later, Kit Green is shocked to see Gemma being brought into the police station having been arrested for stealing the shoes. With Gemma not knowing Kit is Bernie's secret son, her mum begs him to do what he can to secure Gemma’s release.
