Director of Public Health for Lancashire Sakthi Karunanithi said almost half of the cases reported were among people aged 30 and younger. Mr Karunanithi said the"two main reasons" for the rise in infections were people meeting others in their houses and households coming together in venues such as pubs.
He added:"These two are key behaviours we're trying to protect people from. Don't meet with members of other households in pubs and clubs."

Young people don’t see granny. The handful of young people with responsible positions dealing with the elderly or with elderly relatives at home won’t be going out with mates. Why does everyone have to conflate and generalise everything? Are they all morons?

From people that I know who work in care homes, the majority of the people that died had other issues that where known or not known about at the time, the fittest elderly people just carried on as normal , it just brought some inevitable deaths forward however sad it is
