Spain puts 200,000 people in Catalonia back into lockdown as cases of coronavirus rise

The city of Lleida and the surrounding Segria county in Catalonia, Spain, have been placed back into lockdown. Pic: Hector Blanco de FrutosMore than 200,000 people in northeast Spain have been put back into an enforced lockdown following several new outbreaks of coronavirus.

Residents in the county of Segria, which includes the city of Lleida, in the Catalonia region, were told by authorities not to leave the area from midday on Saturday, and were given until 4pm local time to enter the area if outside.

I think that those idiots that have booked flights abroad thinking everything will be normal when they get there must be regretting it now - Covid is back on the rise in Spain again and it seems foolhardy to travel now. We will only see cases in tourists start all over again!
