I some times think that the body has a good way of working. Ie brain to lung. When a mechanical breathing device takes over the brain no longer has to communicate to the lungs... this isn’t pneumonia as we previously knew it. We’re still learning.

Treat the cause, not the symptoms. Virus makes immune system kill everything. Dead viruses & cells draws water into the lungs, swelling prohibits the transfer of oxygen. Ventilators force oxygen into the lungs. HC stops the virus and stops the swelling.

Then why ventilate if is not a good treatment.

Because it’s not the disease people think it is. Non typical ARDS. Essentially the virus strips iron ions from haemoglobin so massively reducing o2 transportation around the body. Mechanical ventilation needs to be adjusted down significantly or else damage is done

Well, take them off the ventilators then.

So sad

Oxygen

You gotta use them 'right'

Why coronavirus affects people differently - fatal for some but mild for othersCoronavirus Covid-19 symptoms have left some unaware they even have the disease while others have been left fighting for their lives, barely able to breathe and hooked up to ventilators Only those with compromised immune systems become ill. So the overweight, smokers, vitamin D deficiency and breathing polluted air. It would be useful to know what percentage of mild cases had received vaccinations for other things like flu - is there an increased resistance in those people I wonder 🤔 Yes, this is a question that I've asked to myself many times.
