POLICE will be able to use force on children to remove them from the streets if they are caught flouting new rules during the coronavirus lockdown.

"If you believe anyone is outside of their premises without reasonable excuse, including a child, you can use reasonable force in the exercise of the power." The head of counter-terror policing added “not every police response will be sure-footed”, but added: “Everyone in policing is acutely aware that how we police this pandemic will be remembered for many years to come.”

Derbyshire Police defended sharing footage of people rambling in the Curbar Edge area of the Peak District, saying travelling to remote areas for exercise did not count as "essential travel".

Evil Chinese Communist government oppressing little children!!!

They are the worst culprits

Why has Jack Grealish still not been picked up by west mids police. Crashed car, broke curfew left scene of accident pictured looking drunk but no police visit. Laughable

Why are there rules for some but not for all construction sites and none essential workers need shutting down or Britain will be no more after 8 million workers spread the virus

What does it matter about distancing rules or faulting them when there 8 million none essential workers doing same so until the government shut this down we might as well do what we want because not shutting construction sites and other none essential sites there no point of us

Good!

Good. I see kids walking past my window in gangs, as though none of this applies to them. Well it’s not 1997 with Labour in charge anymore, where KIDZ ROOLED, spelling intentional. Time the little twats were taught who is boss.

Good luck with that.

Police state here we come!!

I see no problem there as it seems FORCE is the only language some humans understand. The government has asked us several times to stay at home and now they left with no option.

Today

When did the UK become a police state? Dictatorship much? Lol

the police used to be able to do this, you to get a clip around ear if you was misbehaving and then taken your parents and get another clip round the ear

Absolutely right, drag them home and fine the parents

Good! Taser the fuckers!!!

Oh dear, widespread police brutality is coming back into fashion.

Some of these so called children carry knives and are little c**ts - about time they learned some respect. This country has been a soft touch for too long - sick of the “human rights” bollocks

That's what's wrong with this county and why the little 🤬 dont respect police to many snowflakes about

Good

Excuse me? Force on children? I know that we are all on lockdown but there are other ways the police can handle the situation. I do agree on fines but what I've read has left me shocked

If it had happened in China (which I believe it did), some folks would start using words like “human rights violation”, “dictatorship”, “authoritarian” and “police brutality” to describe the scene. No hypocrisy? No double standards?

Im all for staying home protecting nhs etc but using force on children whilst this is happening . . .

This is very democratic, showing the white suprematic compassion, caring the children's human rights in such polite way.
