'Urgent action' needed or most of England will be in Tier 2 for Christmas, scientist says

Brandon Lewis, the UK’s Northern Ireland secretary, has said he is self-isolating after coming into contact with somebody who recently tested positive for Covid-19. Lewis said in a Twitter post that he does not currently have symptoms:.

It's unrealistic to expect anything less. This is a virus & it's peak season for it. We should consider ourselves lucky if we are not in Tier 4 for xmas (not a typo, this could get a lot worse yet)

Why raise expectations, only to dash them later?
