In the long term the coronavirus outbreak could prompt a rethink of our reliance on lengthy supply chains and fragile 'just in time' business models

People are absolutely right to worry about the new coronavirus and the risks to life, particularly among the elderly and those with pre-existing health problems. Economists should similarly consider the types of activities, companies and workers who might be most vulnerable. Can’t believe what a joke this newspaper has become

Someone needs to just in time buy this rag.

Why, is it going to happen every week?

No longer a serious newspaper

Hopefully people will realise how vital it is for us to produce plenty of high quality food in this country rather than rely on imports and how important our farming industry is supportourfarmers

So when we lose our external markets and suppliers after brexit you'll be able to defend that it is the rational adaptation to potential epidemics instead of proof of brexit failings

😂😂😂 so the damage we did with Brexit doesn't matter. It's all for the better cos covid 19 was always gonna do it anyhow. What a sad rag. Just rename yourself New Pravda and be done with it.

Prior to ‘Just In Time’ deliveries, store had stocks of items in a back room warehouse. Brilliant minds did away with that back room and delivered from truck to shelve. This meant there was Zero buffer if something happened to the supply chain. Panic Buying == Empty store shelves

You told us that we were going to “take back control of our borders...” Can you explain just how Brex**it has done any such thing when confronted by Covid-19? And did we have an open border with China? The first serious test of Little Angerlandism & it’s fallen flat on its face.

The Telegraph is turning into an even worse newspaper than it already was. Just absolute garbage BrexitReality

Blocking anything related to coronavirus all it leads to is a social media panic frenzy scaremongering the vulnerable in society and encourages selfish panic buying it’s bringing out the very worst in people which is an ugly trait! So this is the first one I’m blocking!
