Public Health Wales said a total of 1,116 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus, an increase of five on Sunday's figures.
In Wales, a further 124 people have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of positive cases to 11,468. A total of 1,862 patients have died in Scotland after testing positive for coronavirus, up by five from 1,857 on Sunday. There are 1,453 people in hospital with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, down 31 from 1,484 the previous day.Figures for Northern Ireland are due to be released later.
Weekend lag in reporting, will go back up again tomorrow. Still though, a reduction is welcome on a weekly basis. We still have to remember & respect those people who have been lost & their families in this terrible time .

Prime minister to launch Covid-19 alert systemBoris Johnson will give details on Sunday of a new system ranking the coronavirus threat level. My daughter said the problem is the government don't trust the public because the public don't trust the government can't argue with that what level of alert do you think something should be that is having the same effect as 3 commercial plane crashes every day for 6 weeks ... do we we need a score, i think the death toll is enough of a measure.. This is not clear messaging. It is actually dangerous and risking more people’s lives and health. The government should be ensuring the population know the risks, know they are still present and how to mitigate.
