A study has suggested that many rockpool species are threatened by climate change and would not survive crossing the Channel's currents.
The crab travelled on "freak" currents from South Brittany in France, searching for a cooler climate.Christophe Patterson, of the Centre for Ecology and Conservation on Exeter's Penryn Campus in Cornwall, said: "We modelled how ocean currents could carry larvae from Brittany to the south-west UK, and we found very few opportunities for this to happen.
