He failed to investigate the case properly despite Lane’s frightened ex, Shana Grice, 19, calling police five times in six months.Lane, then 27, went on to slash the teenager’s throat before attempting to burn her body. He was jailed for life in 2017."I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the time not knowing what he was going on to do.”
Yesterday, he was found guilty of two charges of gross misconduct and barred from working for the police for life.
And if he had done more, would have been sacked for violating the stalkers civil rights
