Frustrated commuters gathered outside Bolton train station on Thursday evening as part of a national day of action to protest against increased rail fares.
They should be cutting the fares. The service is a disgrace. The rush hour train from Manchester to Bolton is like a cattle truck!
Sell off the railways.
Perhaps if freight would return to rail (as it used to) then it could subsidise passenger travel (maybe even make passenger travel free) and reduce road congestion. Surely could be a Win-Win? PutFreightOnRail
