Community groups can set out their own ideas for their local area

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.Head of planning and regulatory services, Fraser Carlin, said: “Local communities now have a great opportunity to get directly involved in the future of their areas through the preparation of a Local Place Plan.

“This allows local people to think about how they can improve the quality of their areas and meet the needs of their communities. “Even if a community decides not to prepare a plan for their area there will still be plenty of opportunities for people across South Lanarkshire to participate throughout the LDP process and tell us their views.”
