A school named after the slave trader Edward Colston is to change its name.
In a statement, school officials said the name remained unchanged for more than 300 years, but it was not intended to "glorify or celebrate" the slave trader.It said: "This school was not named after Colston, rather it was named by Colston. More than 2,500 people responded to the survey, with more than 1,000 responses from the public being in favour of retaining the name.

History should remain history! Educate and learn….this is how we evolve our societies. By changing names and trying to eradicate such references from history we are effectively ‘White washing’ the past of such atrocities and ultimately denying they happened!
Can we also change the name of the United Kingdom to the Disunited Kingdom in view of the connection with the ToryCriminalsUnfitToGovern
