A daredevil Colorado skier has been killed after trying to jump 40 feet across a busy highway, only to fall short and land on the road.Emergency services were called to reports of an unconscious man at around 3pm.'He wanted to do things that nobody else had done. He always said his birthday was the same day as Evil Knievel,' childhood friend Devin Shirk told FOX31, referring to the famous motorcycle stuntman.

The 21 year-old died in the 'high risk stunt' over a highway on Berthoud Pass on Tuesday. He is seen in a final Instagram video posted March 25'He encouraged other people to start skiing too.
