Met Police commissioner Sir Mark Rowley laid a wreath for murdered WPC Yvonne Fletcher this morning as a memorial service was held to mark the anniversary of her death.
The commemoration came as WPC Fletcher's former colleague and close friend John Murray, now 68, said he is to bring a private prosecution against one of the men suspected of being responsible for her death. He said although Mabrouk did not fire the shots himself, he was a 'prime mover' in the officer's killing
