Oran Kearney believes we are now seeing the performances expected from a Coleraine team as they close in on a top six place.
"I keep saying it - the last month has been about laying a foundation, laying a structure, about getting a level of performance and a level of consistency," said Kearney. "It’s plain to see that over the last five or six games we’ve had all the ingredients we expect from a Coleraine team."We showed all those aspects against Crusaders last week, particularly in the last 20 minutes when we really had to dig in after going down to 10 men.
"Against Crusaders we defended our box with great intensity right down to Dean Jarvis’ header with about a minute to go. Jordan Owens was lurking at the back post to do what he has done hundreds of times down the years, but we stood up and defended it and got our point." "For us, no matter what the permutations are, I've never gone out to draw a game," he said. "Ideally we want to go and try and win our next game. I think it’s vitally important we secure top six.
