A hoax photo that claims to show rubbish left behind by Australian climate strike protesters is circulating on Facebook, despite being revealed as fake months ago.
I was shocked to see this on Twitter, then went onto my Facebook and found the photo and lie being spread by climate change ALLIES because they don't know. This is one of the guys with tens of thousands of likes and retweet of the lie. I cannot report him through Facebook.
DaisyMaxey Two wrongs make a right?
Why are people so stupid they think that photo is real in the first place? Its obvious the photo is fake.
It was the aftermath of a legalise marijuana rally and nothing to with extinction rebellion.
The UN must be pleased with how well their great climate hoax is going.
What about the antifa family is this a hoax
Hoax 🤣. From the 🤣
Yes and litter is not pollution.
Stop Burning Coal.
it’s absolutely pathetic, although predictable. adamboultonSKY shared the exact same photo at the time of the Extinction Rebellion protests.
Well, what a surprise that the fake news stories start.....
Reminds me that I was on cleanup crew in Central Park the very first Earth Day.
sad
Pathetic attempt to discredit a movement trying to get the world to understand the truth.
A bitter truth of humanity...
You picked the wrong country. We pick up our rubbish here. That looks like every London park on Monday morning.
Has anyone looked at how if all the changes that those climate changes people want were implied. How would it effect the modern way of life we've become so use to.
So were the photos from Leeds, reading and Glastonbury fake also, no they weren’t. Let’s be honest the vast majority of the youth of today are a messy bunch ,
So a photo hoax causes an uproar, but a ClimateHoax is to be taken seriously?
I remember this in April- it is the same picture, not Extinction Rebellion or climate protesters.
They salivated ALL DAY to see TRASH!! can you BELIEVE it? POWER IN NUMBERS 🇺🇸
what idiotic glee they must have felt preparing to post this HOAX photo. smh.
🤬🤬🤬
Oh I thought that was a picture of California the most climate friendly place ever. I guess I was wrong when I saw all of that trash was not needles.
Of course twitter TwitterSupport could easily detect that photo in use anywhere on the platform and attach a fact check ⚠️ symbol so users could be aware it is being used with false claims. The user could read the original post, but in conjunction with the alert.
