Green Party MP Caroline Lucas told Sky News that the IPCC report"is likely to be the most important report of our lifetimes".But Ms Lucas attacked Mr Sharma and the UK government for allowing more oil and gas fields in the North Sea."But on the other hand he is also simultaneously saying he backs new oil and gas fields.

Mr Sharma is tasked with persuading countries including China, India, Russia, Australia and Brazil to make concrete commitments and policies to cut emissions, while trying to persuade the UK, European Union and other wealthy nations to meet a pledge of £100bn a year in climate finance for the developing world.

Labour MP David Lammy said the reports of Mr Sharma flying tens of thousands of miles during a pandemic are"worrying" and demonstrate that"it is one rule for them, another for us".Labour on Sharma travel: 'One rule for them' "It makes a vital difference, to build those personal relationships which are going to be incredibly important as we look to build consensus."The stakes will be raised again this week when the IPCC lays out the practical impact climate change will have on the world.

‘We are pretty bruised’: UK cinemas bounce back from Covid closuresAdmissions are almost at pre-pandemic levels despite fears that streaming would wreck business UK admissions since 2002 increased by 1% while streaming had grown dramatically, problem has been cinema industry just believes as people have gone to the cinema for the last century they will keep going, but that was similar to what music and video shops believed a decade ago Vue keep saying “We are genuinely seeing the next golden age of cinema” first golden age was 1940-1956 with 1bn+ yearly trips to the cinema, the second was 1985-2002 with 176m so this 'golden age' should mean UK finally get 200m+ admissions about 20 years later than most expected
