Cliftonville's dream of ending their Irish Cup hoodoo took another step closer after they dumped Larne out of the competition at the semi-final stage.

It was far from a classic but the Reds deserved it on the day after Jonny Addis nodded them in front in the first half. The invermen huffed and puffed without really laying a glove on the Reds, who sealed it with seven minutes to go after a cool finish from Ronan Hale with Linfield now standing in their way of lifting the trophy for the first time since 1979.
