Kevin cast Hayes as Nathaniel Kittredge, who defends his family from a home invasion in the opening scene, in the dismally-reviewed western hitting US theaters this Friday.
Kevin - who's denied dating singer Jewel - admitted to People earlier this month that he and Baumgartner 'just weren't able to go the distance' but called her a 'good partner good mother.' An insider told Us Weekly on January 24: 'Kevin had strong suspicions that something was going on between Christine and Josh. Their close was a real elephant in the room'
