A row over a school jumper ban has erupted between some parents and an Everton school - and some Liverpool Echo readers have said that the situation is "excessive and misguided".
The situation generated some feedback in the ECHO's comment section. Reader EthelTheRed is in favour of school rules and said: "Wear the jumper walking to school, and then take it off. These kids need to realise it's school and they have to wear uniforms, it's not a choice." Mickey111 writes: "My daughter is a part of this school and she feels very uncomfortable about this rule. There are students who feel comfortable in their jumper for a number of reasons and so this rule will negatively affect not only their education but also their mental health."
