Letby, 34, was sentenced to 13 whole life orders in August for her evil crimesChild serial killer Lucy Letby 's bid to challenge her convictions is to be considered by the Court of Appeal this week.
But she is able to renew her efforts before a panel of three judges at the hearing in London, which is due to conclude this week. She refused to come up from the cells to face her victims' families for sentencing following the guilty verdicts. She will face a retrial at the same court in June on a single count that she attempted to murder a baby girl, known as Child K, in February 2016.
Letby's offences took place over the space of a year at the Countess of Chester Hospital where she worked Thought to be a reward for good behaviour, it means Letby can lock herself away from fellow inmates if she feels threatened.
