Coach Andy Reid says 'we’ll just wait for the law enforcement part of it to take place' before addressing Rice's status with the team.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Less than a week in Texas, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver returned to work. Rice joined his teammates Monday for the start of the Chiefs’ voluntary offseason program. He participated in meetings via video conference that were led by coaches. Advertisement “As we’ve done in the past, we’ll just wait for the law enforcement part of it to take place and then we’ll go from there,” coach Andy Reid said of Rice on Monday before team meetings began.

” Advertisement Police also issued an arrest warrant for the 21-year-old driver of the Corvette, Theodore Knox, who is also facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury. Knox, a cornerback at SMU, has been suspended from the team, per the AP. Knox’s lawyer, Deandra Grant, told the AP that Knox was cooperating with law enforcement. Rice and Knox ran from the scene, per police.
