Andrey Santos is set to stay at Chelsea this summer Chelsea are planning to reject all offers for Andrey Santos this summer and will include the midfielder in Enzo Maresca’s squad next season, according to reports. The 20-year-old joined Chelsea in a deal worth around £18 million last year and was allowed to join Nottingham Forest on loan last August. However, Santos failed to secure a regular role at Forest, making just two first-team appearances before his loan deal was cut short.
Andrey Santos impressed during his time on loan at Strasbourg It had been suggested that Chelsea may allow Santos to leave on loan in order to gain more first-team experience in Europe. However, The Athletic reports that Chelsea’s hierarchy have no interest in seeing Santos leave this summer. The report claims that Chelsea have already received enquiries about Santos but the midfielder is viewed as a ‘great fit’ for the style of play Maresca plans to implement.
