Charlton Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Millwall defender Alex Mitchell,Charlton have had a bid accepted for the 22-year-old’s services by the Championship club as he closes in on an exit from The Den.
The centre-back will become Charlton’s third signing of the summer after they have already secured deals for Will Mannion and Luke Berry.Mitchell has spent the past six years with Millwall after joining their academy in 2018. Mitchell has built up his experience in recent years after taking in loan spells at Bromley, Leyton Orient, St Johnstone and Lincon.
