US comedian Dave Chappelle, whose latest Netflix special has sparked a transgender backlash, has hit back at those he says want to "cancel" him.
Critics have taken offence at Chappelle's Netflix special, The Closer, in which he says "gender is a fact" and that LGBT people are "too sensitive". Chappelle's video, posted on his Instagram account on Monday, was filmed at his performance in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday, according to CNN. It was his first public reaction to critics since his special debuted on 5 October. He appeared at the show alongside popular podcaster Joe Rogan.
"To the transgender community, I am more than willing to give you an audience," he continued. "But you will not summon me. I am not bending to anybody's demands."
What does 'slam' mean? Such a tabloid word.

He is an edgy comic and African heritage. A race that has been reduced to a minority and exploited as a point of reference for every group who face discrimination including transgenders.

People do get caught up and forget his job is to joke. I didn't think he was being offensive. However, I also didn't find it funny and just switched it off through boredom.

I have watched The closer and it's hilarious Chappelle is right some people are overly sensitive, it's called comedy if you can't look at yourself or anyone else and laugh, then the world will be a miserable place full of the woke and snowflake generation

He’s funny, speaks the truth and never apologises. If you can’t take a joke then you have a weak character.
