The queue outside Embankment Station amid the incident Chaos engulfed London’s Charing Cross after a trespasser jumped on the rail tracks. Hundreds of commuters were evacuated after the alarm was raised at the station during rush hour. Trains between London Bridge and Charring Cross were halted, while others were cancelled or diverted. Pictures circulating social media showed a man dressed in all black standing on top of a railway bridge over the Thames.
’ Vans parked outside Charing Cross Crowds of people were seen outside Embankment, King’s Cross, Cannon Street, Victoria and multiple others as staff tried to implement a queuing system. Police rushed to Charing Cross and several vans were spotted outside the station. By 7pm, Southeastern Railway said the trespasser had been apprehended, while the power to the line switched back on. One rail company suggested that major disruption would continue until 8.15pm.
