Timmy the cat was rushed to hospital after being shot at close range in Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Timmy the seven-year-old ginger cat was rushed to the vet after a neighbour in Markington, North Yorkshire, found him with a wound to his left shoulder. RSPCA Inspector Natalie Taylor said Timmy was on the brink of death before vets operated on his shoulder, saving his life.‘He is a much-loved pet cat and this was a callous and horrible act of cruelty against him.’The vet also revealed Timmy was fired at close range which suggests ‘someone really wanted to hurt him’.Ms Taylor added: ‘It is very distressing to think that people take pleasure in causing such horrific injuries to defenceless animals. These are deliberate and brutal acts of cruelty.
‘We find cats are more susceptible to these kinds of incidents simply because they are out in the open with no one to protect them.
I mean why is killing or hurting a pet any different to killing or hurting a child? That sentencing should be just. I cant have kids, my animals are my children.
🤬
Question is where was the cat when shot was it trying to kill someone's livestock etc.
If it had been ripped to pieces by a pack of dogs the police would have been actively assisting the dogs
Some cruel swine.😡
Blood hell! This is abhorrent.
But what a tough cookie.
