The man who died as the result of a tragic drowning incident in Carrickfergus on Saturday has been named by police.The Belfast man had been on the boat with another man in his 70s, who was treated by ambulance crews at the scene.The boat had been launched from the Sydenham Yacht Club between 1.30-2pm, but sent a mayday call near Carrickfergus at around 3pm.
"Our enquiries into what caused this boat to sink are at an early stage and the Maritime Accident Investigation Branch is assisting. "We would also appreciate the public's assistance.
