The French government has said it will not extradite Mr Ghosn if he arrives in the country

NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, said the former Nissan boss had been issued a spare passport that he carried in the months before his departure despite strict bail conditions compelling him to hand over all passports to his lawyers. NHK did not cite its sources.
